Farhad Moshiri

Farhad Moshiri was an Iranian artist known for his painting that combined pop art dialect with a subtle, subversive socio-political commentary. He was associated with the pop art movement. Born in 1963 in Shiraz, Iran, he studied at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California. Moshiri lived and worked in Tehran, Iran. He passed away in 2024 in Tehran, Iran. His works are part of the collections at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Farjam Collection, and the British Museum.
