Stevan Dohanos was an American artist known for his social realism. Born in 1907 in Lorain, Ohio, he later lived and worked in Westport, Connecticut. He was influenced by artists such as Grant Wood and Edward Hopper, and he studied at the Cleveland School of Art. Dohanos passed away in 1995. His works have been exhibited at the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and Dartmouth College.
