Milton Glaser was an American graphic designer known for his influential work in graphic design. Born in 1929 in The Bronx, New York, United States, he grew up in the South Bronx, New York, United States. Glaser studied at the Cooper Union in New York City. He was influenced by Marcel Duchamp and worked alongside notable peers such as Seymour Chwast, Reynold Ruffins, and Edward Sorel. Glaser received the National Medal of Arts and the National Design Award for Lifetime Achievement. He passed away in 2020 in New York City, New York, United States. His works are part of the collections at the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Israel Museum.
