John Pike was an American artist born John Howard Pike on June 9, 1911, in Los Angeles, California. He studied at the University of California, Berkeley, and the California School of Fine Arts. Pike was known for his landscape and marine paintings, contributing to the California Impressionism movement. He received recognition through exhibitions and was awarded the Prix de Rome. Pike passed away on March 6, 1979, in Laguna Beach, California.
