Arild Rosenkrantz was a Danish artist born in 1870 at Frederiksborg Castle, Denmark. He was known for his work in stained glass and painting, often exploring religious tradition and anthroposophy. "Colours are the soul of nature and the entire cosmos – and we become part of that soul when we live with the colours," he believed. Rosenkrantz was influenced by Modesto Faustini, Jean-Paul Laurens, Benjamin Constant, the Pre-Raphaelites, J. M. W. Turner, William Blake, and Claude Monet.
