James Jean is an American and Taiwanese artist known for his painting and drawing that often explore abstract figuration. Born in 1979 in Taiwan, he studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Jean currently resides in Los Angeles. His works have been exhibited at the Lotte Museum of Art. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades including the Eisner awards, the Harvey awards, the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles gold and silver medals, the Society of Illustrators of New York gold medal, the Wizard Fan Award, the World Fantasy Awards, and the Bronze Lion at the Cannes Advertising Festival.
