Federico Zandomeneghi

(Italian, 1841 – 1917)
Federico Zandomeneghi was an Italian artist known for his pastels depicting women in their domestic routines. He was associated with Impressionism and was influenced by Edgar Degas, Mary Cassatt, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Born in 1841 in Venice, Italy, he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice and the Academy of Fine Arts of Milan. He was contemporaries with Signorini, Martorelli, Giovanni Fattori, and Giuseppe Abbati. Zandomeneghi passed away in 1917 in Paris, France.
