Edward Cucuel

Edward Cucuel was an American artist known for his idyllic outdoor scenes with young women and his contribution to impressionism. Born in 1879 in San Francisco, California, United States, he studied at the San Francisco Art Institute, the Académie Julian, the Académie Colarossi, and the Académie des Beaux-Arts under Jean-Léon Gérôme. His work was influenced by Jean-Léon Gérôme, and he was a peer of Leo Putz. Cucuel passed away in 1954 in Pasadena, California, United States. His works have been exhibited at the Chicago Art Institute, the National Academy in New York, and the Carnegie Institute of Pittsburgh.
