Stanislas Lépine
(French, 1835 – 1892)
Stanislas Lépine, born Stanislas Victor Edouard Lépine, was a French artist known for his landscapes and views of the Seine. He was influenced by Corot and contributed to plein-air landscape painting, Impressionism, and modern art. Born in 1835 in Caen, France, he passed away in 1892 in Paris, France. Lépine was awarded the gold medal at the Exposition Universelle of 1889.
