Nina Chanel Abney is an American artist born in 1982 in Chicago, Illinois. She is known for her vibrant, large-scale paintings that address themes of race, politics, and popular culture. Abney earned her MFA from Parsons School of Design in New York. Her work is included in the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, the Rubell Museum, and the Nassau County Museum of Art.
