Mike Bidlo is a contemporary American Conceptual artist, widely known for his extensive involvement with Appropriation Art. Freely referencing the movements of the early to mid-20th-century, Bidlo's work—as with contemporaries Glenn Brown and Sturtevant—draws from the rich and problematic history of Modern and Pop Art to critique and provide contemporary context to these canonical aesthetics.
