Fritz Glarner

(Swiss, 1899 – 1972)
Fritz Glarner was a Swiss artist known for his nonrepresentational art and his involvement in the Concrete Art movement. He was influenced by Piet Mondrian. Born in 1899 in Zurich, Switzerland, Glarner passed away in 1972 in Locarno, Switzerland. His works are part of the collections at the Museo Cantonale d’Arte and the Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller Empire State Plaza Art Collection.
