Judith Rothschild
(American, 1921 – 1993)
Judith Rothschild was an American artist known for her abstract works. Born in 1921 in New York, she studied at the Cranbrook Academy and the Art Students League. She was associated with notable artists such as Piet Mondrian, Henri Matisse, Constantin Brâncuși, Juan Gris, and Pablo Picasso. Rothschild passed away in 1993. Her works are part of the collections at the National Gallery of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Phillips Collection.
