Yang Feiyun

Yang Feiyun is an acclaimed Chinese painter known for his realistic depictions of nudes and landscapes. Working in the European traditions of Albrecht Dürer and Diego Velázquez, Yang paints with assured brushstrokes and muted colors. Born on September 29, 1954 in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, he went on to study at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. The artist became a professor at his alma mater in 1986, and has continued to teach there ever since. Over the years that followed, Yang has won multiple awards and been the subject of exhibitions at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing and the Jiangnan Museum of Art in Wuxi. He continues to live and works in Beijing, China.
