Myron Stout was an American artist known for his geometric paintings and drawings. He was associated with Abstract Expressionism and Minimalism. Born in 1908 in Denton, Texas, he was influenced by Hans Hofmann. Stout studied at the North Texas State University, Texas. He spent much of his life in Provincetown. The artist passed away in 1987 in Chatham, Massachusetts. He was a recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship. His works are part of the collections at the Museum of Modern Art and the Carnegie Museum of Art.
