Judy Pfaff is a British-born American artist known for her ambitious installation works which combine the media of sculpture, painting, and architectural alterations to create airy and lyrically tangled environments. Pfaff is considered an early participant in the Process Art movement of the mid-1960s along with Lynda Benglis, Bruce Nauman , and Richard Serra. Her unique style is informed by a variety of disciplines, including mapmaking, medical illustration, botany, physics, zoology, and set design for theater. The artist was born in 1946 in London, United Kingdom and moved to the United States at the age of 13.
