" Tree of Life" is a stunning printZao Wou-ki, (Chinese-French, b. 1921) was born in China but moved to Paris in 1948, and has since been part of Western abstract painting traditions. He is known for his ability to merge the languages of Asian and Western visual art. Well-known for his large canvases in oil, he has also produced many etchings and lithographs, and continued the Chinese tradition of calligraphic ink and watercolor painting. His works are in the collections of the Guggenheim Museum (NY), the Hirshhorn Museum (Wash., DC), the Art Institute of Chicago, and major museum collections worldwide. He had a Retrospective show in 1993.
