Yann Charbonnier (French, 1964) is a contemporary French photographer who has exhibited widely both in France and internationally. Solo exhibitions of the artist’s work have been held at Galerie Karsten Greve (Paris and Cologne), Denise Cade Gallery (New York), Heike Curtze Galerie (Vienna and Dusseldorf), and Martin Weinstein Gallery (New York), among others. Charbonnier has been represented by Galerie Karsten Greve several times at Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach, as well as at Paris Photo and the Montpellier Biennale. Charbonnier has received numerous awards including recognition from the Jean-Luc Lagardere Foundation, the Villa Medici Mural Prize, and the Bourse du Fiacre from the French Ministry of Culture; he has also directed and produced several short films.
