Solution Scheme (D4), from an edition of ten, is one of the most iconic images from Xu Yong and collaborator Yu Na's entire series of photos created from 2006 to 2007. Photographer and installation artist Xu Yong teamed up with Yu Na, a former prostitute famous in China, to explore the cultural norms and taboos present in contemporary Chinese society.

Yu Na acts as both the muse and the artist in this provocative and dynamic series of large-scale color photographs. She entices the viewer as she stares seductively at the camera. She is presenting herself in her former role as a prostitute, standing completely nude in a platinum blond wig while wielding a large pink flag over a pileup of anonymous Chinese businessmen that appear passed out at her feet, and she is not ashamed. The large pink flag in her hands replaces and critiques the iconic red flag of China, the image of which is tied to the nation's historically male-dominated rule and its general patriarchy. By replacing the red flag with a pink one, the color most commonly associated with women and femininity, the image comes to symbolize the "power of pink:" female seduction and sexuality as the new and ultimate power. The irony within these images, and the key to this series' critiques and cultural significance, is catalyzed by the fact that Yu Na no longer sells her physical body for money, but instead sells the image of it through high art. This information adds another level of critique, a critique of the art world, to the piece.
