Chiron Press was contracted to print these five artist editions for the New York Ten portfolio. Of the artist names above, Kulicke, might be underknown to the viewer. A wonderful painter in his own right, he was also the framer of note during the time and is best known for modernizing frame design. In his print images of flowers were printed on delicate graph paper, varnished then collaged onto backing paper. Also of special note is the Frankenthaler print, 'Air Frame', the individual value of this print at auction supersedes the total lot offering. Anuszkiewicz and Krushenick's more graphic compositions further defined by their very close friendships with the printer and experience in his shop. Segal's print is silkscreened on bright red paper. Krushenick's title - 'James Bond Meets Pussy Galore' happily sums up the 1960s movie vibe of the time.
All these prints are in very good condition. Very Bright clear impressions.
