Exemplifying the hauntingly beautiful quality of his subjects, this powdered graphite on paper work by T.R. Ericsson is an exquisite example of the artist's style. Seizing upon the ephemeral essence of an aging structure, 'The Farm' has a eerie presence surrounding it which captivates the viewer.

T.R. Ericsson (b. 1972), originally from northeastern Ohio, has found an audience both at a national and local level through his poetic, large-scale, powdered graphite drawings. His technique of forcing powdered graphite through a silkscreen followed by rubbing, erasing and wearing down sharp edges creates a glowing effect further enhancing the spectral quality of his subjects. Both his figural and landscape pieces convey a sense of age and history that feels as though the viewer is peering into a memory which may vanish before them. Ericsson is represented in both Cleveland, OH and New York, NY and currently lives and works in Brooklyn.
