Lot Details

Year 1992-93. Measures 11 x 14 inches (27.9 x 35.6 cm).

Vibrant and inventively composed, this oil-on-vinyl work by Tam Ochiai constitutes a playful homage to the Japanese artist On Kawara's meticulous "Date Paintings." In Ochiai's riff on the work of his contemporary, bright yellow spots pop from a semi-transparent support, imbuing Kawara's time-based concept with a Pop sensibility.
