As part of his 'Miss Ko2 Project' this c-print by notorious Japanese Pop artist Takashi Murakami titled 'Miss Ko2-Nurse' warps living beings into his anime based art. Here a woman dressed as a nurse with syringe in hand, is portrayed as any anime character would be, with elongated legs and exaggerated features. The none-too-subtle sex appeal she exudes combines contemporary Japanese culture with the typical pop imagery found throughout today's anime characters, exemplifying Murakami's iconic style in a single image.

Considered the Warhol of Japan, Takashi Murakami (b. 1963) is a prolific contemporary Japanese artist who works in both fine arts media, such as painting, as well as digital and commercial media. Having been classically trained in the historic ‘Nihon-ga’ style, Murakami's talent lies in his ability to blend traditional Japanese painting with that of contemporary pop culture. Often pushing the boundaries between what is considered high and low art, Takashi Murakami incorporates popular themes from pop culture, media, and cartoon animation into anything from his "Superflat" paintings to his enormous sculptures. He also brands his own art to create marketable commercial goods including figurines, apparel, and even key chains.
