"Itamaraty, Brasilia" initially photographed around 2006, allows an interior view of the is the headquarters of the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil, located in the capital of Brazil. The timely offer of these historically important photographs commemorate Niemeyer's life dedicated to design, and is an edition of 10, measuring 24 x 20 inches (61 x 50.8 cm), and comes directly from the artist, unframed in excellent condition.

AIA Gold Medal and Recipient of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, Architect Oscar Niemeyer was born in Rio de Janeiro Brazil in 1907 and graduated from the Escola Nacional de Belas Artas in Rio de Janeiro in 1934. Soon after, he began collaborating with other world famous architects like Le Corbusier a series of recreational and government buildings, and eventually became its chief architect, designing most of the city's important government buildings, which placed him as the leading figure of modern architecture and design. In 1964 the architect's political communist party connections forced his exile to France, though he eventually resumed his career in Brazil and was awarded the Gold Medal of the American institute of Architecture.

Photographer Silas Shabelewska was born in Poland and raised in the South of France. She explored photography since her youth at age 12, which has remained her passion today. She received her Fine Arts degree at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and has since photographed famous personalities by the likes of Leo Castelli and Helmut Newton. Also inspired by artists like Edward Steichen and Alfred Stieglitz, she uses methods of "pure" photography, bypassing any alterations or digital manipulations, with a 19th century aesthetic that evokes the sense of a textured drawing. Silas has shown internationally in galleries throughout New York City like the Soufer Gallery, Bjorn Ressle Fine Art, and Briggs Robinson Gallery, as well as galleries in Los Angeles, Boston, DC, Miami, and Antwerp among others cities. The artist currently lives and works in New York.
