Internationally acclaimed photographer Sante D’Orazio (b. 1956) combines sexuality and celebrity culture in his provocatively sophisticated photographs. D’Orazio captures the essence of eternal youth, naked beauty, and rock and roll in his compositions. With a resume expanding over 20 years, D’Orazio has been featured in some of the world’s top magazines, including Italian Vogue, Interview, Vanity Fair, French Vogue, Allure and GQ. D’Orazio has launched four books, Sante D’Orazio: Photographs (2000), Gianni and Donatella (2007), A Private View (2008), and Barely Private (2009). Sante D’Orazio has exhibited widely in museums and galleries internationally, including the Kunsthaus Munich, Kunsthauswien Vienna, the L.A. County Museum, Stellan Holm Gallery (New York) Cameraworks Gallery (Berlin) and NRW Forum Dusseldorf. His publications include: A Private View (Penguin Books, 1998), Sante D’Orazio Photographs (Arena Editions, 2002) Pam: American Icon (Schirmer/Mosel, 2007) Katlick Schook (TeNeues 2006) and Gianni and Donatella (TeNeues, 2007). He lives and works in New York City.
