"Warhol (Green)" (2008) is an unabashed and celebratory Neo-Pop portraits by internationally acclaimed Chinese Contemporary artist Ren Zhenyu (China, b. 1976). This is one of the most dynamic of the portraits of Andy Warhol that Ren has painted to-date, employing his iconic staccato brush-stroke and vibrant color palette to create an exciting image of the iconic American Pop artist. This painting is on of Ren's largest as well, measuring 59 x 59 inches (150 x 150 cm), it is unframed and in excellent condition. Ren is known the world-over for his series of portraits of the world’s most famous cultural icons, including Damien Hirst and Francis Bacon, Marilyn Monroe, Mao, Che Guevara, U.S. President Obama, and the British Royal Family among others. His artistic influences range from Yan Pei Ming, Vincent van Gogh, Lucien Freud and Jenny Saville.

Born in China in 1976, Ren Zhenyu graduated in 1999 from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Art. His work has been exhibited in solo and group Museums shows world wide, most recently at The Shanghai Art Museum, China. He is represented by prestigious galleries in China, Europe and the U.K. and his paintings are held in select private and public collections in the U.S, U.K, Australia, Singapore, Europe and throughout Asia. The artist lives and works in China.
