Raul Torres Rojas, is known as the father of prismatic abstraction. In "Bailarina", from 1996, powerful brushstrokes form a vibrant ballerina, creating a sense of dynamism that echoes throughout the piece. This work measures 31 x 27 inches (78.7 x 68.6 cm) and is in excellent condition. Raul Torres Rojas says of his work: "The color palette is an inevitable starting point of the painter’s work. At some stage, in my continuous search for a different order to start from, I found necessary to look out for an external element that could provide an alternative order, at once fascinating and never traveled. And there was the prism, with a perfect symphony of colors for a palette eager for original and present challenges. There it was, the Prismatic Abstraction, as it was named by Christner and Weiss."
