Lot Details

Created in his later years, "Deux Femmes avec un Vase a Fleurs" exhibits the influence of Picasso’s last muse, Jacqueline Roque, who is considered a catalyst for the burst of innovation and creativity in the artist’s later years. The two met in the South of France in 1952 when Picasso was nearly 70 and Jacqueline was only 27 years old. This sensuous scene of two voluptuous female nudes shows the influence of Jacqueline’s exotic beauty.
