Lot Details

Olivia Parker became involved in photography in 1970, not long after graduating from Wellesley College with a degree in the History of Art. Since then, she has had more than 100 one-person exhibitions in the United States and abroad, and her work is represented in major private, corporate, and museum collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago; the Museum of Modern Art in New York; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; and the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House in Rochester, New York. Currently, she is working on a group of pictures that involve illustrated books, tablets, and pages in order to explore the relationship between verbal and visual thinking. Parker is on the Board of Directors of the Photographic Resource Center.

Sale of this print benefits the Photographic Resource Center, a non-profit arts organization based in Boston that serves as a vital forum for the exploration and interpretation of new work, ideas, and methods in photography and related media. www.prcboston.org
