"Untitled (2011) is a highly important, sublime acrylic on canvas painting by one of the most critically acclaimed Middle Eastern artist's working today, Nosratollah Moslemian (Iran, b. 1951) that stands not only as one of his largest canvases to-date but also as one of the most conceptually and accomplished of Moslemian's highly-sought after of colorful abstract portrait paintings. In his iconic manner, the artist here flattens and realigns facial features, and with an off-kilter focus on the eyes and mouth of his sitter painted large areas of bright, saturated color. Moslemian's paintings from this Series are highly sought-after on both the primary and secondary markets world-wide. This painting has never been to auction, measures 70.87 x 70.87 inches (180 x 180 cm), is unframed and in perfect condition.

Nosratollah Moslemian was born in 1951, in Salmas, Iran. He graduated from Faculty of Fine Arts, Tehran University, 1977 and is a Member of Iran Sculptors Society. The artist has exhibited his painting at "The First International Exhibition", Museum of Modern Art, Tehran (Awarded First Prize), numerous times at Contemporary Arts Museum, Tehran; Museum of Art, Tehran; The Iran Gallery in Paris; The French Embassy in Iran; "Iran Art Exhibition" traveled to London, Bern, Geneva (1999); Niavaran Cultural Center; "The 5th Biennale of Contemporary Iranian Painters (invited artist)" as well as gallery exhibitions in the UAE, US, U.K. Kuwait, and in many galleries throughout Iran such as Seyhoun Gallery, Haft Samar Gallery, Pol Isfahan Gallery, and Aria Gallery. He has been a Professor since 1979 in the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tehran University, (1979-81); and at Azad University, (1991-1995).
