"Spring Landscape" (2002) is an masterfully rendered ink and color painting on paper landscape by one of the most quietly famous post-Modern artists of his generation, Minol Araki (Japan, 1928-2010). This painting is an exciting example of incredible detail and color of the new generation of Japanese ink paintings that combines the the traditional Chinese ink manner, as well as a Western styles. Of his work, the artist stated," By drawing from both East and West, I hope to achieve a perspective which is international, a bridge between cultures." This work measures 34.63 x 34.63 inches (88 x 88 cm) is unframed and in excellent condition.

Although Araki exhibited his works in many museums around the world from the 1970's until his untimely death in 2010, Araki never felt compelled to offer his works in commercial venues, and shied away from both gallery and Art Fairs exhbitions. Minol Araki held only two exhibitions, by choice, both were later in his life in 2005 and 2007 both at the prestigious Gerald Peters Gallery, Santa Fe, NM. His first solo museum were held at Hong Kong City Hall Museum (1977 and 1981) and National Museum of History Tapei (1978 and 1980). Araki contiued to show throughout the world until his untimely death in 2010. Notable Museum Shows include: 1982: "Shigen-ten" at the Tokyo Central Museum and "L'Expositions France-Japons 8", Paris, France; 1999: solo exhibition at Natural Museum of History, Tapei and again in 1999 solo exhibition at Phoenix Art Museum, Arizona, U.S.; 2001: Group exhibition at Pacific Asia Museum, Pasadena, CA; 2002: Solo exhibition at Morkiam Museum, FL, and in the same year two more solo exhibitions at The Indianapolis Museum of Art, IN, USA and Clark Center for Japanese Art and Culture, CA, USA.
