Micha Klein graduated in 1989 from the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and was the first artist to receive a BA in computer-graphics. Since 1989, Klein has held exhibitions in galleries and museums worldwide with his monumental photo-panels, which utilize diverse digital techniques and styles. His digital works are visually compelling, drawing the attention of viewers with their bright colors and smooth surfaces. On a deeper level, his works expose unique worlds and make references to both pop culture and art history. In 1998, the Groninger Museum honored Micha Klein with a retrospective of his digital and video artworks. In 2000, a show at the Mary Boone Gallery in New York launched the artist's career in the U.S. The artist currently lives and works in Amsterdam.
