This work was generously donated by the artist and Feature Inc. to the Children's Cancer & Blood Foundation (CCBF). Proceeds from this sale benefit the CCBF, which supports the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Raised in the French countryside, Laurent Baheux (b.1970) grew up surrounded by nature and wildlife. The aesthetic beauty of emotional charge of the wilderness became the natural inspiration and focus of his photographic work. Baheux studied at Poitiers University in France, graduating in 1992. In 2002, Baheux traveled to Africa to photograph the wildlife of Tanzania and Kenya, which resulted in his ‘Land of Lions’ exhibition, which was shown in 2006 at Chateau Royal, Collioure, France, and in 2007 at Objectif Bastille, Paris, France. He was the 2007 recipient of the Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year, London, UK. Baheux is also an acclaimed sports photographer and has worked for sports agencies in France, covering such prestigious events as the Tour de France, the 2004 Olympic Games, Athens, Greece, and FIFA World Cup, Germany.
