A rare collection of three black and white photographs of a young Marilyn Monroe, taken in 1949 and 1950 by MGM studio photographer, Laszlo Willinger. These photographs were taken shortly before the transformation and launch of Marilyn Monroe's career in film. Two photographs are signed from an edition of 50. One photograph is unsigned from an edition of 25.

Laszlo Willinger brought a freshness and energy to his portraits and gave his subjects a quality of intelligence. Willinger's portraits of movie stars and celebrities during the 1930s and 1940s have become collectible and are appreciated as fine art.
