Lot Details

"The Cruiser," a dramatic Pop/Conceptual work of art published in 1990 in a limited edition of only 16, is the result of a rare collaboration between international art superstars Ed Ruscha and Kenny Scharf. This five-color lithograph with text was printed on white Rives paper with desirable deckled edges, so it would look terrific floated and framed.

In excellent condition, with natural bleed through colors. Printed by Hamilton Press, Venice, California, Published by Ed Ruscha and Kenny Scharf.

This is the only edition of "The Cruiser" known to have appeared at public auction. Given that other impressions of this work, published in an edition of only 16, are in permanent public collections including LACMA and the de Young Museum in San Francisco, it is extremely scarce especially in such fine condition.

Seller has agreed to offer complimentary packaging and shipping in the continental US and shipping of US $150 anywhere else in the world if payment is received within three days of purchase. This work is large and it ships flat, not rolled!
