Lot Details

Keith Haring (1958-1990) uses bold lines, vivid colors and figures to create a visual language that expresses strong messages of life, unity, love, sex and war. At age 19 Haring moved to New York to study at the School of Visual Arts; he first achieved public attention with his chalk drawings in the subways of New York City. In 1989, the artist established the Keith Haring Foundation which provides funding to AIDS organizations and children’s programs.
