"Melting" is a dynamic, super-cropped painting of a sugary landscape by notable emerging Contemporary Korean female artist, Jung Bo Yeon. Dimensions: 46 x 37.80 inches (116.8 x 96 cm), unframed, in excellent condition. The artist's "Melting" series of saccharine still-lifes are defined by their cropped compositions filled with swirls and whirls of melting lollipops, candy canes and peppermints rendered in vivid Pop-Art colors. These "candy-scapes" bear influence from the work of Western artists Wayne Thiebaud and Will Cotton yet also underscore the incredibly sophisticated understanding of color, composition and technique by the young artist, whose "Melting" paintings have taken Asia by storm, already the subject of two solo shows in 2013 alone.
