Lot Details

Capturing the essence of longing for an absent love, the artist portrays a young woman looking out from the painting in semi-profile. The turban she wears on her head is filled with gourds and avocados, representing ephemeral life. A stream of calla lilies curves around the right side of her neck. The work is presented in an ornate gilt wood frame with a hunter green linen mat.
