Auguste Belloc, Reclining Female Nude on Chaise Lounge, 1850s. Albumen print from wet plate negative, 8 x 6 in. (203 x 152 mm). Original 8.5x11.5 mount.

This print is comparable to the illustrations in Serge Nazarieff "Early Erotic Photography" Cologne 1993: p 24&25. Belloc's distinctive studio carpet, chaise lounge and drapery are seen in all three images.

Auguste Belloc (Montrabé, 1800 - Paris, 1867) was a French photographer, known for his erotic works.
