"Red Building with Four Windows" (2012) is a stunning realist oil painting by internationally acclaimed Contemporary American painter, John Aquilino, known for his colorful oil paintings that celebrate the urban landscape. This work is a colorful snapshot of city architecture, where human presence is intentionally absent, with a composition based on definite areas of bright colors and patterns determined by light and shadows and the relationship of one building to another. This painting measures 30 x 40 inches, is in excellent condition, framed and in the artist's white wood frame.

John Aquilino's works all explore and celebrate urban architecture as subject, with his emotional connection to the city environment evident in all of his works, with an admitted love of New York City, where he was born, raised and attended University. The artist received his formal training at New York University (3-D modeling and Animation), The Art Students League, NY (BFA Painting and Drawing), and The School of Visual Arts, NY (MFA in Painting and Drawing). His prestigious corporate and public art commissions include works for The D.C Council on the Arts and Humanities, Washington, DC; The National Association of Home Builders, Washington, DC; Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, Washington, D.C. He was featured in "New American Paintings," #88, June/July 2010 edition. The artist lives and works in Washington D.C.
