Lot Details

This rare pochoir was published in 1934 and accompanied issue No. 1-4 of the French journal Cahiers d'Art. Cahiers d'Art was a literary and art revue founded by Greek art collector, writer, and critic Christian Zervos and published irregularly from 1926 to 1960. Zervos was a champion of Modern Art, and the journal regularly included high-quality illustrations like these by artists such as Picasso, Matisse, Leger, Chagall, Calder, Duchamp, and Miro. Today, these images are highly sought.

This impression is unsigned from the edition of 1200.
