"Dana" (1997) is a stunning painting by Korean Contemporary artist, Jinchul Kim. This work belongs to Kim's internationally acclaimed series of realist portraits of young American women that each possess an undercurrent of emotional and psychological tension underneath their superficial beauty and where the narrative is never fully disclosed. This painting measures 16 x 22 inches and is professionally box-framed to larger dimensions as listed, and is in excellent condition.

Jinchul Kim was born and raised in South Korea, where he earned a BFA and MFA from King Se-Jong University, concentrating in painting. The artist moved to the US in 1989 and in 1993 he received an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. His work is held in select public and private collections in Asia, Europe and the U.S. The artist presently lives and works in Washington D.C.
