"Jeeyoo and Her Pink Things (The Pink Project)" (2008) by renown Contemporary Korean artist JeongMee Yoon measures 30 x 30 inches (76.2 x 76.2 cm), is edition 4 of 7 and is unframed in perfect condition. This work is part of "The Pink & Blue Project" series the artist started in 2005, where the artist features young children sitting amidst cloths and toys spread out throughout the child's bedroom. Here little Jeeyoo poses practically hidden by her pink-colored possessions that have been meticulously displayed and arranged in front of her by the artist. In her projects, the artist explores gender specific advertising of toys and accessories which influence popular culture and traditional roles girls and boys in society.

JeonMee Yoon, who was born in 1969 in Seoul Korea, received her BFA from Seoul National University, an MFA from Hong-Ik University, South Korea and another MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York. The artist's photographs highlight continuing societal norms and human relations with the contemporary culture, which has won her such awards as the Honorable Mention at the International Photography Awards, the American Society of Media Photographers in New York and Santa Fe Center for Photography, as well as the Daum Prize at the Geonhi Art Foundation in Korea, the Paula Rhodes Memorial Award in New York among several others. Selected exhibitions include shows at the Gyeongnaum Art Museum in Korea, Jenkins Johnson Gallery in New York, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art in California, The Marugame Genichiro Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art in Japan, among many others. The artist currently lives and works in New York.
