Lot Details

Large coffee table hardbound book published by Editions Xavier Barral. UK edition. With a full page flower drawing, signed and dated, completed in silver ink.

Jeff Koons (b. 1955) is among the most controversial and popular artists to have emerged in the past 20 years, spawning a new generation of Neo-Dada artists, such as Damien Hirst. Like Marcel Duchamp and Andy Warhol, Koons is concerned with the transformation of everyday objects into art, merging high culture and kitsch.

This book was published for Koons' solo exhibition at the Palace of Versailles in France.
