James Fee was an American photographer originally from Knoxville, Iowa. He later settled in Los Angeles where he lived for most of his life. He is most well known for taking pictures of desolate urban and industrial landscapes. He taught photography at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California in the early nineties almost until the time of his death in 2006. His works belong to the permanent collections of the Getty Musuem, the San Diego Museum of Photographic Arts, and the William Benton Museum of Art.
