The proceeds from the hammer price of this lot directly benefit Magic of Persia. Established in 2004, Magic of Persia is a UK-based Organization, which nurtures and develops Iranian cultural practitioners of the arts. Magic of Persia has established initiatives promoting modern, contemporary and classical Persian art, music and media in partnership with world-class institutions, including The British Museum, The Victoria and Albert Museum, London Film School, Royal College of Art, Saatchi Collection, Frieze Art Fair and Art Dubai amongst many others.

"What Would You Do?"(2010) is a surreal figurative acrylic painting on canvas by one of the most acclaimed emerging Persian artists working today, Hamed Sahihi (B. 1980 in Tehran, Iran). This work measures 15.75 in. x 43.30 in. (40 cm x 110 cm) and is in excellent condition.

Hamed's works have been included in top solo and group exhibitions in the U.K. the U.S, Europe and the Middle East include 2011: "Big Lie", Mohsen Art Gallery, Tehran, Iran (Curated by Farid Jafari Samarghandi); 2010: "Tehran to London: New Painting from Iran", Jill George Gallery, London, UK; "White Box", Mohsen Gallery, Tehran, Iran;2009: "Inside Teheran Out", Forum Schlossplatz, Aarau, Switzerland. Hamed Sahihi received an M.A. in Painting in 2005 from the Art University, Tehran, Iran and a B.A. in Painting in 2003 from Tehran University Faculty of Fine Arts.
