Based on the painting owned by The San Francisco Museum of Art, ‘Sin With Olive’ is a marvelous example of Ed Ruscha’s early language works, created in the late 1960s and 1970s. The comic combination of “sin” with an “olive” brings to mind the famous three-martini lunches of the period, with the sly inference of what might happen later. The print is in excellent condition and nicely framed.
