This is an original lithograph by renowned California artist Ed Ruscha entitled 'It Is A Go' from 2009. The piece is hand signed, numbered, & dated in pencil by the artist from the very small edition of only 50 on hand torn, deckled, buff copperplate paper. The art is beautifully framed in a matching contemporary cherry wood frame, recessed and floating on oyster linen matting. The framed size measures 28.75 x 24.625 in with both the art and frame being in mint condition. All framing materials used are of museum quality and are 100% acid free including 100% u.v. protective plexi-glas.

Edward Ruscha (B.1937, Omaha, Nebraska) is an American Pop artist known for his paintings, prints, drawings, photography and film. In 1962 Ruscha’s work was included in the groundbreaking and historically important exhibition entitled “New Painting of Common Objects” at the Pasadena Art Museum along with other legendary Pop artists, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Robert Dowd, Phillip Hefferton, Joe Goode, Jim Dine, and Wayne Thiebaud. The 1970s were a very fertile period for the California artist. In 1972 he had his first major works on paper exhibition at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. He was chosen by the Venice Biennale as the focus of their graphics workshop and during this period he continued experimenting with different media.
