Lot Details

Image size is 65 x 48 in (165.1 x 121.9 cm). Face mounted to non-glare plexi, rear-mounted to Dibond, and framed in wooden floater frame, 66 x 49 inches (167.6 x 124.5 cm).

An image from David Maisel's haunting series, "Library of Dust." The copper canisters in the photographs each contain the unclaimed remains of a patient from a psychiatric hospital in Oregon. The canisters are damaged by chemical corrosion, which has created an eerily beautiful pattern of colors on the outside.
