David Korty (b. 1971) is a contemporary American artist. He is best known for his lush, atmospheric watercolors inspired by Los Angeles, where he currently lives and works. Korty earned his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1992 and his MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1998. His work has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions, at Greene Naftali Gallery, New York, NY; China Art Objects, Los Angeles, CA; Sadie Coles HQ, London, England; Galleria Il Capricorno, Venice, Italy; and Kimmerich, New York, NY, among others.
